Goa Tourism Marks a Strong Presence at Great Indian T

Goa, 5th May 2025 – The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, has made a remarkable impact at the Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) 2025, held from 4th to 6th May 2025 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, with a successful showcase of the state’s diverse and regenerative tourism offerings on its first day.

Organised by the Government of Rajasthan, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), GITB 2025 provided a vibrant platform for Goa Tourism to engage with international buyers, tour operators, and key industry stakeholders.

The Goa delegation, led by Mr. Sanjeev Ahuja, IAS, Secretary, Tourism, Government of Goa; Shri Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism, Mr. Gavin Dias, General Manager, GTDC; and Mr. Rajesh Kale, Deputy Director (South), Department of Tourism, actively participated in high-level B2B meetings, policy sessions, and networking interactions aimed at strengthening Goa’s presence in global tourism markets.

Additionally, Mr. Sanjeev Ahuja represented Goa as a distinguished panelist beside Mr. Mukesh Kumar Meshram, Principal Secretary, Tourism, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Rajender Kumar, Secretary, Tourism, Government of Gujarat, Mr. Ravi Jain, Secretary, Tourism, Government of Rajasthan and Mr. Balwant Singh, Commissioner cum Secretary Tourism, Government of Odisha in the session titled “Catalysing Growth: How Tourism Policies are Attracting MICE Opportunities”, sharing insights into Goa’s forward-looking policy frameworks, infrastructure enhancements, and marketing strategies positioning Goa as an emerging MICE hub.

*Reflecting on the event’s outcomes, Director Tourism, Shri Kedar Naik stated* “Goa’s strong showing at GITB reflects the growing interest in Goa as a destination that goes beyond the beach. The positive response validates our efforts in promoting Regenerative Tourism, cultural experiences, and sustainable travel narratives. We look forward to building on these engagements to deliver meaningful growth for the sector.”

With strengthened partnerships and renewed collaborations emerging from GITB 2025, Goa Tourism looks forward to charting new pathways for responsible growth and global engagement.
