DR PRAMOD SAWANT, HON’BLE CM, GOA FELICITATES WINNERS OF VEDANTA’S UTKARSH SCHOLARSHIP
In line with its commitment to building stronger communities through education, Vedanta Sesa Goa has extended support to students as part of its Vedanta ‘Utkarsh’ Scholarship Program . This year, 68 meritorious students from Goa have been awarded the scholarship, enabling them to pursue professional courses and higher education without financial barriers.
The scholarship distribution ceremony was graced by the Hon’ble CM Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, along with Saptesh Sardesai, CEO- VAB who felicitated on their accomplishment . The event witnessed participation from several community leaders including Mr. Sagar Fadte, Sarpanch VP Amona, Mr. Rohidas Kansekar, Sarpanch VP Navelim along with Ms Leena Verenkar, Head CSR, Sesa Goa and other company officials.
Congratulating the meritorious students, Dr. Pramod Sawant expressed his happiness at their success & appreciated Vedanta Sesa Goa for the Vedanta ‘Utkarsh’ Scholarship initiative, which provides vital support to students.”
The Utkarsh Scholarship is specially designed for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds , who have shown consistent academic excellence and participated in extracurricular activities. Final selections are made through a rigorous evaluation and personal interviews. The objective is simple yet powerful — to remove financial hurdles and open up pathways to meaningful careers.
