Dhargal Acid Attack Case: The Arrest of Mr. Nilesh for Acid Theft and Tragedy
Accused person namely Mr. Nilesh s/o Gajanand Dessai Age, 46 yrs R/o Dabiwadi Kalane, Dodamarg Sindhudurg Maharashtra was arrested in Pernem Police Station Cr.No. 41/2025 U/s 124(1), 109 BNS and Sec 8(2) of Goa Children’s Act.
During the interrogation the accused person disclosed
1)that he had committed the crime, as his daughter died after the relationship with victim ended. The accused person also informed that he had stolen “5 liters Acid Can” on Friday and hidden it in Activa scooter covered with rain coat. The said acid/chemical liquid was stolen from glass manufacturing company in Industrial Estate, Karaswada, Goa where he was working since last 8 days as Gardner.
2)The victim was in relationship with the accused’s minor daughter. Both victim and his minor daughter were studying together in Higher secondary school in mapusa.
3)Medical examination of accused was done today to ascertain traces of acid on the body of accused in GMC.
4)Activa scooter of Accused has been attached including helmet and raincoats of accused.
5) FSL team examination of scooter was done for traces of acid / chemical traces on Activa scooter.
Further that on 01.07.2025 the accused person was produced before Hon’ble JMFC Court Pernem and remanded 02 days Police Custody and directed to produce the said accused before The President Children’s Court Panaji on 03.07.2025 at 10.00 hrs for further remand.
