Closing ceremony of the 10^th, 11^th and 12^th edition of the Goa State Film Festival 2025

The closing ceremony of the 10^th, 11^th and 12^th edition of the Goa State Film Festival 2025 was held at Kala Academy on 17^th Aug 2025 in the presence of Dr Pramod Sawant, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Smt. Delilah M Lobo, MLA, Siolim Constituency and Vice Chairperson of ESG, Shri. Damu Naik, film personality and Ex Vice Chairman of ESG, Shri. Ashwin Chandru, IAS, CEO of ESG, Shri. Dipak Bandekar, Director, Dept. of Info & Publicity and other dignitaries.

Smt. Delilah M Lobo, welcomed the esteemed Guests and audiences present.

The lifetime achievement award was awarded to Smt. Varsha Usgaonkar, the renowned Actress, Singer, Model and Social Worker born in Goa and who has contributed to Hindi, Marathi and Konkani cinema.

The recognition of Goan Film Legacy was conferred upon Late Baba Naik for his contribution in the Goan Cinema.

Jury members of Feature films and non feature films were felicitated during the function.

The awards for the Best films in all the 3 editions are as below:-

10^th Edition (1/1/2018 – 31/12/2019)

Best Feature Film – Juze (14 awards)

11^th edition (1/1/2020-31/12/2021)

Best Film – Ransaavat (7 awards)

Best Non feature Film – Kupamcho Daryeo (5 awards)

12^th Edition (1/1/2022 – 31/12/2023)

Best Feature Film – Mog (8 awards)

Best Non feature Film – Gathan (3 awards)

3. Best Director- Glen Cardozo (Ful ani Savli)
4. Best Cinematographer- Tejas V. Naik (Ful ani Savli)
5. Best Editor- Yuri B. Carvalho (Ful ani Savli)
6. Best Actor (Male) – Niraj Arrie (Lift)
7. Best Actor (Female) – Rati Bhatikar (Ful ani Savli)

Awards were presented at the hands of Dr. Pramod Sawant, Smt. Delilah M Lobo, Shri. Ashwin Chandru, IAS, Shri. Dipak Bandekar, Shri. Gajendra Ahire, Jury Chairman (Feature Film), Shri. Asim Sinha, Jury Chairman (Non Feature film)

The main highlights of the closing ceremony was the performance by renowned Goan Singer Sonia Sirsat, performance by singer Ajit Parab, act by Chala Hawa Yeu dy fame Bharat & More and act by Vardhan and group.

Shri. Dipak Bandekar, Director, Dept of Info & Publicity proposed the vote of Thanks.

The Goa State film Festival 2025 witnessed a tremendous response from all over Goa from the various stake holders of the film industry.
