GTDC to Host the World-Famous Dance Drama RAM on 29th & 30th November 2025

Panjim, 26th November 2025 – The Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) today announced that Goa will host the dance drama RAM, offering Goans a rare and prestigious opportunity to witness one of India’s most celebrated cultural productions. The drama will take place at Ravindra Bhavan, Baina Vasco on 29th November and at Kala Academy, Panjim on 30th November 2025

The Chairman, GTDC, Shri Kedar J Naik stated that “Goa is privileged to host RAM, a production that has touched countless lives across generations. Our focus is to bring such distinguished cultural experiences to our people and create opportunities that enrich our artistic and social fabric.”

Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, is India’s leading cultural institutions known for its propagation and promotion of Indian Classical Dance, Music, and Performing Arts. Over the decades, it has nurtured several classical forms and produced landmark productions, of which RAM remains its most iconic. RAM has been witnessed by millions and is recognised globally for its powerful storytelling, refined choreography, and artistic excellence.

Beyond this brief background, the focus of this initiative lies in Goa’s commitment to enriching the cultural landscape of the state. Goa Tourism has consistently supported activities that celebrate India’s artistic heritage, ensuring that Goans have the opportunity to engage with world-class performances. Hosting RAM in Goa reflects this dedication to promoting meaningful, culturally significant experiences for residents and visitors.

This event is being organised with the support of the Government of Goa under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and Hon’ble Minister for Tourism Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, whose vision continues to strengthen Goa’s cultural and tourism initiatives. On the sidelines of the forthcoming high-level visit of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to the state, these cultural presentations by GTDC underscore Goa’s readiness to showcase its vibrancy, hospitality, and artistic depth.

Adding to the significance of this cultural moment, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Goa on November 28 to unveil a 77-foot statue of Lord Ram at the Shree Samsthan Gokarna Partagali Jeevottam Mutt, Canacona. In the backdrop of these landmark events, the hosting of RAM by GTDC aligns with Goa’s broader cultural and spiritual engagements this season.

The staging of RAM in Goa is also made possible through the support of key cultural institutions. Ravindra Bhavan Vasco, has extended its facilities for the production, while Kala Academy, Panaji, also offered its venue support. Their collaboration ensures that audiences across the state can enjoy this remarkable performance in an accessible environment.

Entry for the production will be provided through entry bands on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring open access for the public.

GTDC and the Department of Tourism invite Goans to experience the grandeur of RAM, an iconic cultural masterpiece, as Goa continues to position itself as a vibrant hub for art, heritage, and cultural exchange.
