Final Stage Set in Junior and Masters Categories at Bandodkar Panjim Gymkhana Tennis Open 2026

Panaji, April 2026 – The Bandodkar Panjim Gymkhana Tennis Open 2026 continued to witness competitive action, with finalists emerging in the girls under-12 singles and men’s 60+ doubles categories.

In the girls under-12 singles category, Urvi Pai Panandiker advanced to the finals with a 4-1, 4-0 result against Aaliya Metry, while Anindita Sarwate registered a convincing 4-1, 4-1 win over Tanisha Kulkarni to secure her place in the last four.

The men’s 60+ doubles category also saw strong performances, with Sanjay Shinde and David Mendonsa progressing through the rounds. The pair delivered a dominant 6-0 win over Avinash Raiturkar and Rajiv Marathe, before advancing further with a 6-4, 6-1 victory against Parag Prabhudesai and Santosh Fondekar in the semi-finals. In another semi-final encounter, Artemio Moraes and Caetano Fernandes defeated Sadguru Dessai and Ishan Bakhale 6-3, 6-4 to move ahead in the competition.

In the men’s open singles category, Raju Kundaikar secured a 6-2 win over Prajat Halankar, while Kedar Tari defeated Rahul Pawar 6-1 in their respective matches.

Meanwhile, in the men’s open doubles category, Naveen Daivajna and Neville Menezes recorded a comprehensive 6-0 win over Sagar Patki and Neal Mayank Gandhi in the round of 32.

The Bandodkar Panjim Gymkhana Tennis Open, which honours the legacy of Goa’s first Chief Minister Dayanand Bandodkar, continues over the coming days, with 247 players scheduled to play in matches across multiple categories.
