The Goan short film Sherine’s Intermission, directed by Sharvi Dhond and produced under her own banner Off Pixels Production, has secured major recognition at the Indus Grand International Awards 2026 held in Mumbai, winning accolades for Best Short Film on Mental Health and Best Women-Centric Film.

The project is led by Sharvi Dhond, who not only directed the film but also took on roles as writer and co-cinematographer. The film’s precise editing is handled by Poonam Bind, who also contributed as co-cinematographer, adding to the film’s visual depth.

At the heart of the narrative is a powerful performance by Falak Fatima Siddiqui, who portrays both Sherine and her darker alter ego, Alina, bringing emotional intensity and psychological nuance to the story. Sharvi Dhond also appears on screen as Dr. Sullivan, a psychologist. Supporting roles include Shambu Dhond in the role of a director within the film, along with a cameo by noted Goan actress Sonika Lotliker. The voiceover is delivered
