Two Big Releases in Two Weeks Mark a Special Phase in Madhoo’s Career
Mumbai (Anil Bedag): Actress Madhoo, who has captivated audiences with her performances for more than three decades, is once again in the spotlight. What makes this phase particularly exciting is that two of her significant films are set to release within just two weeks of each other. While Governor, releasing on June 12, will see her in a sensitive and important role, the Tamil-Malayalam bilingual film Chinna Chinna Aasai, arriving in theatres on June 18, is a project she considers one of the finest of her entire acting career.
Speaking about Governor, Madhoo says, “My role in the film may be small, but it plays an important part in the story. Working with Manoj Bajpayee was a wonderful experience.”
Known for her memorable performances in films such as Phool Aur Kaante, Roja, Yodha, Gentleman, and Diljale, Madhoo believes that Governor is a film that will leave a deep impact on audiences. The film stars Manoj Bajpayee in the lead, and she describes sharing screen space with him as a truly rewarding experience.
Her emotions run even deeper when it comes to Chinna Chinna Aasai. The month-long shoot in Kashi and Varanasi left a profound impression on her. “This film has been a life-changing experience for me. I consider it the best film of my acting career,” says Madhoo.
Featuring music by Govind Vasantha, the film is, according to Madhoo, a deeply spiritual and emotional journey. With an impactful role in Governor and a personally meaningful performance in Chinna Chinna Aasai, this period marks a particularly special chapter in her career. Audiences can look forward to witnessing two very different shades of the talented actress on the big screen in the coming days.
