Goa Tourism Wins Best Digital Marketing Campaign Award at 41st IATO Annual Convention in Visakhapatnam

Award recognises Goa’s efforts to strengthen its digital presence and showcase diverse tourism experiences

Panaji, September 17, 2026: Goa Tourism has been conferred with the Best Digital Marketing Campaign Award at the 41st Annual Convention of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), recognising the State’s efforts to strengthen its digital presence and showcase Goa’s diverse tourism experiences to audiences across India and international markets.

The convention was held from September 10 to 13, 2026, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, under the theme India: The World’s Next Tourism Opportunity. The convention brought together tourism stakeholders, travel trade professionals, State Tourism Boards and senior officials from across the country.

Hon’ble Minister for Tourism Shri Rohan A. Khaunte said, “This recognition is a reflection of Goa’s continued efforts to evolve the way we communicate with travellers. Digital platforms have become an important part of how destinations are discovered and experienced, and Goa Tourism has been focused on presenting the State beyond its traditional tourism imagery. We are committed to using digital storytelling to highlight Goa’s culture, heritage, nature, experiences and communities while connecting with travellers in meaningful ways.”

The award was received on behalf of Goa Tourism by Shri Gavin Dias, General Manager, Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), and Shri Rajesh Kale, Deputy Director, Goa Tourism, at the award presentation ceremony held during the convention.

Director of Tourism Shri Kedar Naik said, “This award acknowledges the consistent work that goes into taking Goa’s tourism story to audiences across the digital landscape. Our focus has been on creating engaging and relevant content that reflects the many experiences Goa offers. We will continue to strengthen our digital outreach and use new platforms and formats to connect with travellers and the tourism trade.”

The recognition adds to Goa Tourism’s growing presence at national tourism and travel trade platforms, while reinforcing its focus on digital communication as an important tool for destination promotion.
