Special Camps for Inclusion of New and Left-Out Voters

The Chief Electoral Officer, Goa, has informed this office that the Hon’ble Election Commission of India (ECI) has directed the conduct of a Special Drive to ensure that every eligible elector is added and no ineligible entry remains in the Electoral Roll.

Pursuant to the directions of the Election Commission of India, the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) of South Goa District have been directed to facilitate a Special Drive for re-verification of entries deleted during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and for enrolment of new, young and first-time voters.

As part of the drive, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will undertake house-to-house re-verification of deleted entries pertaining to their respective polling stations. BLOs will also assist eligible citizens who are yet to be enrolled in the electoral roll.

In addition, Special Camps will be conducted at designated locations across the Assembly Constituencies of South Goa District on 07, 08 & 09 October 2026. Citizens may visit these camps to seek assistance regarding electoral roll entries, and complete the enrolment process, wherever applicable.

All eligible citizens, particularly new, young and first-time voters and persons whose names have been left out of the Electoral Roll, are requested to make use of these Special Camps and approach the concerned BLOs/officials for assistance.

The District Election Officer, South Goa, appeals to all eligible citizens to actively participate in the Special Drive and cooperate with the BLOs during the house-to-house verification process. The participation of citizens will help in ensuring an accurate, inclusive and updated Electoral Roll and strengthen the democratic process.
