The actor who immortalised Lord Ram will now portray Ram’s father, King Dasharath 

Mumbai (Anil Bedag): Arun Govil’s name has become synonymous with the character of Lord Ram, a portrayal that generations of Indian audiences continue to remember with immense respect and emotion. Now, the iconic actor is set to appear on the big screen in a completely different yet equally significant role. A new poster of Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited film ‘Ramayanam’ has been unveiled, featuring Arun Govil in the regal avatar of Ayodhya’s King Dasharath, the father of Lord Ram.

The makers shared the poster on social media, recalling how Arun Govil once brought the character of Ram to life for an entire generation. Now, he is returning to the world of the Ramayana as the King of Ayodhya.

The poster offers a glimpse of his royal appearance and commanding personality, hinting at the powerful presence of King Dasharath in the film. The role holds a special significance for Arun Govil, as he is now portraying the father of the very same Ram whom he immortalised in the hearts of audiences decades ago.
