During the programme, citizens raised concerns relating to various government departments in the presence of senior government officials, local MLAs Shri Sankalp Amonkar (Mormugao), Shri Krishna Daji Salkar (Vasco), and Shri Antonio Vas (Cortalim) and Secretary Shri Michel D’Souza. The grievances were taken up for discussion with the concerned officials to assess the issues and identify appropriate solutions, with several matters addressed and the remaining concerns to be followed up with the respective departments.
Hon’ble Tourism Minister & Porvorim MLA Shri Rohan A. Khaunte said, “Under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan and ‘Sarkar Tumchya Dari’ initiative, we engaged directly with citizens in Mormugao taluka to understand their concerns and address public grievances. Several issues were taken up with the support of government officials, while the remaining grievances will be followed up with the concerned departments and local MLAs to ensure appropriate action. Our priority is to ensure that every citizen receives timely assistance and has access to the benefits of government schemes. Today’s experience further reinforces our commitment to responsive, accessible and people-centric governance, where the government reaches the people and works towards practical solutions to their concerns.”
The ‘Sarkar Tumchya Dari’ initiative reflects the Government’s commitment to citizen-centric governance by facilitating direct engagement between the public and government departments. By bringing services and welfare schemes closer to citizens, the initiative seeks to improve awareness, simplify access to government assistance and strengthen coordination in addressing public grievances.
The initiative also reflects the Government’s commitment to Garib Kalyan, Yuva Shakti, Kisan Shakti and Nari Shakti. By prioritising these four key pillars, the government aims to ensure that welfare schemes, public services and development initiatives reach deserving beneficiaries effectively and equitably.
Through the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, Government continues to emphasise the importance of public participation, accountability and responsive administration. The initiative reinforces the principle that governance is most effective when it reaches people directly, listens to their concerns and works towards practical solutions that improve their everyday lives.
