
Demand for Grants – Dr. Deviya Rane
Archeology
Dr. Deviya Rane, during her Demands for Grants, took the opportunity to express her gratitude Hon. Minister for Archaeology Shri Subhash Phaldessai, for notifying 1) Nanus Fort, 2) Rock Carvings at Mauxi and 3) Kranti Veer Deepaji Rane’s House at Kumbarkhand, as protected monuments/sites of historical importance in Sattari Taluka.
Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities
Dr. Deviya Rane thanked Hon. Minister for fulfilling her request by organising Assessment Camps under ADIP Scheme for PwDs across all talukas of Goa, during the last Monsoon Assembly Session.
The assessment camp was held on 30th May 2025 in Sattari Taluka. A total of 150 Persons-with-Disabilities (PwDs) were identified as eligible for availing aids and appliances under the ADIP Scheme viz. Hearing Aid, Wheelchair, Walker, Tricycle, etc. and their application was accepted by Officials at the camp for further processing, which made the application process convenient and accessible for PwDs.
She added, “I am confident that all applications will be processed by the Dept. and aids provided to PwDs on priority.”

Pension to Widows/Senior Citizens under DSSS
Dr. Deviya Rane, thanked the Hon. Minister for resolving the issue of pension to widows, wherein, upon attaining 60 years of age i.e. senior citizen under DSSS, their pension amount was reduced to Rs. 2000 per month.
The Govt. used to provide pension to the beneficiaries under the Social Welfare below schemes:
• DSSS Widow – Rs. 2,500/-
• Senior Citizen – Rs. 2,000/-
With the new revision, widows above 60 years of age will continue to receive Rs.2,500 per month.
