Felicitate Mrs. Auda Viegas & Our Police Inspector and two PSIs of the Maina Curtorim Police Station
MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco had the opportunity to felicitate Police Inspector and two PSIs of the Maina Curtorim Police Station, along with Mrs. Auda Viegas (NGO), for her commendable work for women and children.
Mrs. Auda Viegas successfully followed a case to its logical conclusion by coordinating with the concerned police, lawyers, judges, and even a politician, ultimately securing justice for a special child who was raped by her own father. “They are not from my constituency, but we believe in helping others irrespective of boundaries”, said Mrs. Auda Viegas.
“As citizens of this country, each one of us has a moral responsibility to help the poor and the defenseless. Today, once again, we have proved that with collective efforts, good intentions, willpower, determination, and compassion, humanitarian values can be upheld and justice delivered to the aggrieved, the defenseless, and those in dire need.”
“There were many others too—directly or indirectly—who strengthened this case and contributed to the investigation in every way they could to ensure that truth and justice prevailed for this special child and her mother, and that the wrongdoer was punished. I thank them as well.”
