ICSI Takes a Leap Forward in Professional Development and Corporate Governance

Goa, November 2025: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has been at the forefront of promoting professional development and good corporate governance. In a significant move, ICSI has introduced a series of specialized webinars under its Capacity Building Series, aimed at enhancing the practical insights and professional acumen of its members and students.

New Programs and Collaborations:

ICSI has launched new programs, including a 2-year Full-time MBA in Maritime Regulations and Compliance Management in collaboration with Gujarat Maritime University, and a Certificate Course on Corporate and Securities Markets Compliances (CSMC) with National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM). These programs are designed to equip professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their fields. Additionally, ICSI has signed MoUs with Services Exports Promotion Council (SEPC) to provide customized training programs for its members and access to global markets.

Student Initiatives

ICSI has taken several initiatives to support its students, including:
– Online Doubt Clearing Classes for students of Executive and Professional Programme
– Olympiads: To create awareness about the CS profession among school students.

Recent Events

ICSI has been actively organizing various events, including:

– 53rd National Convention of Company Secretaries: a platform for professionals to come together and discuss issues of common interest
– 4th International Conference in Sydney, Australia: a forum for professionals to share knowledge and best practices
– Middle East Conference in Abu Dhabi: a platform for professionals to network and discuss industry trends

ICSI has also launched several other initiatives, including:
– ICSI Guiding Principles on Stewardship (IGPS): a framework for ethical stewardship practices and sustainable investing
– Governance and Compliance Standard on PoSH: provides standardized procedures for Internal Committee meetings and complaint processes
– ICSI International ADR Centre: a multi-city project aimed at creating a conducive ecosystem for de-clogging the courts and providing speedy justice.

The ICSI has contributed Rs. 52 lakhs to the Ministry of Defence to support the education and empowerment of daughters of martyrs

Overseas Presence:

ICSI has established 6 overseas centers in:
Australia, Canada, Singapore, UAE, UK, USA.
