Industrial Growth Gains Momentum in Goa with Inauguration of Pai Kane Transformers Plant
New facility at Tuye to support local jobs, innovation, and self-reliant Goa vision
Pernem, Goa, 9 April 2026: Pai Kane Transformers LLP was formally inaugurated today at Tuye Industrial Estate in Pernem, marking a significant milestone in the 36-year journey of the Pai Kane Group. The new state-of-the-art facility, dedicated to the design and manufacturing of oil-cooled distribution and power transformers, is expected to further strengthen Goa’s industrial ecosystem while promoting employment generation and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
The inauguration ceremony began with a tree plantation activity symbolising sustainability, growth, and environmental responsibility. This was followed by a corporate presentation showcasing the group’s journey, technological advancements, and export-oriented expansion in the field of transformers and power quality solutions. The facility reflects the group’s continued focus on innovation, efficiency, and adherence to global manufacturing standards.
The new plant has been developed with a strong emphasis on enhancing production capacity and delivering energy-efficient, IS/IEC-compliant transformers for both domestic and international markets. With a capacity range of 250-630 kVA for Goa and 100-3000 kVA for global requirements, the facility reinforces Pai Kane Group’s commitment to reliable and sustainable energy solutions while contributing to the vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Goa’ and the national ‘Make in India’ initiative.
The programme concluded with a press briefing and vote of thanks, where the group outlined its manufacturing capabilities, future growth plans, and commitment to quality-driven and sustainable industrial development. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Hon’ble MLA Shri Michael Lobo (Calangute), Shri Atul Pai Kane, Chairman and Managing Director of Pai Kane Group, Shri Siddharth Naik, Head of Pai Kane Transformers, DGM–Sales Smt. Sangeeta Naik, and Shri Vasant, along with senior officials, employees, and other dignitaries present on the occasion.
