MLA Dr. Deviya Rane Chaired the 118th Board Meeting of the Goa Forest Development Corporation in the presence of PCCF Shri Kamal Datta, MD-GFDC Shri K. Ramesh Kumar, GM-GFDC Shri Amar Heblekar, and other esteemed members of the Board.
The meeting included detailed deliberations on the successful conduct of the recently held Goa Forest Diversity Festival 2026, whose impact and outreach resonated across the State of Goa.
Key discussions also focused on strengthening and upgrading infrastructure at our cashew plantations and ecotourism sites, enhancing visitor facilities and activities and exploring new avenues to expand sustainable ecotourism initiatives across the State.
Additionally, emphasis was laid on the rejuvenation of rubber plantations to improve productivity and ensure long-term sustainability. These collective efforts reflect GFDC’s continued commitment towards conservation-driven development, livelihood generation, and responsible eco-tourism in Goa.
