Porvorim Rising Announces 7th Edition of NoMoZo on January 11, 2026
Goa’s community-driven festival of Porvorim returns with fitness, culture, boxing, innovation and a new Karaoke Zone
Porvorim, Goa: Porvorim Rising is set to host the seventh edition of ‘NoMoZo’ on January 11, 2026, once again transforming Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Marg into a vibrant, people-centric space celebrating fitness, sports, culture, heritage, innovation, and community spirit.
Over the years, NoMoZo has evolved into a much-anticipated community festival that brings together residents, local businesses, artists, and innovators across age groups. Despite ongoing development activities in Porvorim, organisers have ensured that the spirit and scale of NoMoZo remain intact.
Sharing his views, Rohan Khaunte, Minister for Tourism, IT, E&C, and Printing and Stationery, Government of Goa, says, “NoMoZo has truly become a people’s festival. Each year, the community’s enthusiasm inspires us to do more. Even as Porvorim continues to grow and development continues, our commitment remains to create inclusive public spaces that encourage health, creativity, and community bonding. The seventh edition promises to be even more engaging and memorable.”
This edition will feature a wide range of interactive zones including the Kids Zone, Art Zone, Astronomy Zone, Heritage Zone, Performance and Dance Zone, Martial Arts Zone, Health Zone, Youth Zone, IT/Science Zone, Fitness Zone, Boxing Zone, Influencer Zone, and a newly introduced Karaoke Zone, inviting participants to take the stage and celebrate music and self-expression.
Ninil D’Souza, key organiser of NoMoZo, highlighted the focus on innovation and participation. “Every zone this year brings something fresh, be it fitness, technology, heritage, or entertainment. The addition of the Karaoke Zone adds a fun, inclusive element that encourages people to participate rather than just observe. NoMoZo is about discovering talent, learning, and building connections within the community,” D’Souza says.
A people’s event with Porvorkars taking the lead in organising the event on a large scale that remains local and community driven, last year over 20,000 people attended the NoMoZo 6.0.
The Heritage Zone will continue to reconnect attendees with Goa’s cultural roots through traditional and folk performances, indigenous art, local crafts, and handmade products by Goan artisans, offering visitors an opportunity to engage with and support local culture.
The IT and Science Zone will once again spotlight Goan innovation with live demonstrations, including drone technology and 3D printing, aimed at inspiring curiosity and learning among children and adults alike.
True to its community-first ethos, free stalls will be provided to local vendors and individuals, offering them a platform to showcase and sell their products directly to the public.
With sports activities like live boxing action, health check-ups, astronomy sessions, cultural showcases, technology exhibits, and live entertainment, NoMoZo 7.0 promises a full day of discovery, fun, and community celebration, making it a must-visit event for families, youth, and visitors alike.
