Panaji, 4 February 2026: Reinforcing the global World Cancer Day 2026 theme, ‘United by Unique’, Manipal Hospital Goa marked the occasion with a heartfelt cake-cutting ceremony dedicated to its cancer patients, celebrating their courage, resilience, and inspiring journeys of hope.

The simple yet meaningful gesture was aimed at spreading positivity, hope, and emotional support among patients undergoing cancer treatment. Doctors, nurses, hospital staff, and caregivers joined the patients during the celebration, reinforcing the hospital’s commitment to compassionate and patient-centric care.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives from Manipal Hospital Goa highlighted the importance of not just medical treatment but also emotional well-being in a patient’s cancer journey. “World Cancer Day reminds us that cancer care goes beyond medicines and procedures.
