Vedanta Sesa Goa Powers Community Well-being at the ‘Mayem Marathon 2026
Vedanta Sesa Goa, a leading producer of iron ore with a seven decade plus legacy in Goa, proudly partnered Shri Mahamaya High-School Ex-Students Association for the ‘Mayem Marathon’26.
The event has gradually become one of the most awaited events in Bicholim, Goa, and received an overwhelming response, with over 1,500 participants from Goa competing across various categories, including 21kms, 10 kms, 5 kms, 3 kms race, along with separate categories for school students across age groups.
The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Shri Premendra Shet, Hon’ble MLA for Maem Constituency; and Guest of Honour-Shri Deepak Narvekar, Dy. General Manager, Goa Tourism Development Corporation along with Mr Dhirajkumar Jagdish, Dy. CEO, Vedanta IOG, and prominent community leaders. This is the third consecutive year since Vedanta Sesa Goa has partnered Maem Marathon and I commend them for fostering health and well-being through such initiatives. Equally, Vedanta Sesa Goa’s CSR contributions-from the restoration of the historic Maem Bandhara, to establishing computer centres and modern labs-are empowering our youth and strengthening Mayem’s future.

Vedanta Sesa Goa has actively fostered well-being within the community by partnering for events such as the ‘Republic Run’ & the “Mayem Marathon”.
