WARM FAREWELL ACCORDED TO THE GOVERNOR AT RAJ BHAVAN
Panaji, July 24, 2025: A warm farewell was accorded to the Governor Shri. P S Sreedharan Pillai. Before departing for his hometown. He attended “Financial Aid Distribution” ceremony at new Durbar Hall at Raj Bhavan today.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, Union Minister of State for Ministry of Power and New and Renewable Energy Shri Shripad Y. Naik, , Minister for Health Shri Vishwajeet Rane, Prof. H. B. Menon, Vice Chancellor, Goa University and Shri. Sanjeev C Gauns Dessai, Secretary to Governor, Shri R Mihir Vardhan, IAS (R), Special Officer Governor were present on the occasion.
First Lady of Goa Smt. Rita Shreedharan Pillai also graced the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said Governor as made the Raj Bhavan accessible to the people of Goa. He thanked him for the support that he extended to run the State effectively.
Addressing the public Shri. P S Sreedharan Pillai said as Governor of beautiful State of Goa, got full support from the people of Goa. The Governor extended special thanks to the Chief Minister for his support for helping to fulfill all the initiatives that are carried out by Raj Bhavan.
Shri. Shripad Y Naik, Minister of State for Power, New & Renewable Energy said that the Governor has built a bond with the people of Goa. He was a true guiding force for Goa. He made Raj Bhavan as home for the visitors.
Shri Shripad Naik further said, the Raj Bhavan genorous support to cancer and dialysis patients under the support of Shri Pillai brought smiles on many Goan faces. Shri Naik thanked him for all his support towards Goans.
Before departing for his hometown the Governor, Shri. P S Sreedharan Pillai distributed financial aid through the discretionary funds of Governor to 38 cancer and dialysis patients. Apart from patients financial aid towards the welfare of the people were presented to various institutions, Organisations and Muths in Goa. Certificates were also given to the students.
Shri. Harilal Menon, Vice Chancellor, Goa University spoke on the occasion.
Shri Sanjeev C Gauns Secretary to the Governor welcomed the guests. Shri. R. Mihir Vardhan, IAS, Special Officer to Governor gave the Introductory Speech. Shri. Sandesh Gadkari, Deputy Comptroller proposed vote of thanks.
Guard of Honour was given to the Governor at the entrance of the New Durbar Hall.
