Goa’s Young Robot Genius: Vedang Anay Kamat Shines at Robotex India National Championship
Vedang Anay Kamat from Std. V , Saraswat Vidyalaya represented Goa at the Robotex India National Championship held in Pune on 20th and 21st September 2025. There were only two students from Goa to participate at this prestigious national event.
Vedang’s Achievements in the competition:
1st place in Lego Line Follower and with that he qualifies for the International championship to be held at Estonia.
2nd place in Line Follower
and with that he qualifies for the International championship to be held at Estonia.
Special Recognition in Drone Aviation Challenge for scoring 280 points in just 4 minutes, against the top score of 340 points in 10 minutes!
The championship also featured unique challenges like Girls Firefighter, Maze Solver, Mini Sumo, Entrepreneurship Challenge, and the exciting Folk Race.
Vedang was self-trained with support from his parents and school, and built robots with completely different designs and code. His success is a shining example of the talent and creativity of Goa’s young minds!
The International Robotex event will be held later this year in Estonia – and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this bright star!
