Museum of Goa to Host ‘Dreaming Together’, a Summer Art Camp for Young Creators
~ The six-day immersive programme invites children to use imagination, empathy and collaboration to shape a kinder shared world.
Panaji, May 2026: This summer, the Museum of Goa in Pilerne will open its Children’s Art Studio (CAS) to a new generation of young thinkers and makers through Dreaming Together, a six-day reflective art camp designed to help children explore empathy, creativity and collective action through hands-on learning.
Created for children aged 4 to 11, the summer camp offers an imaginative alternative to conventional holiday activities by encouraging participants to see art not only as self-expression, but also as a way of understanding others and caring for the world around them. The programme will be held from May 19 to May 24, with sessions beginning daily at 10.30 am.
At a time when communities often feel fragmented, Dreaming Together asks a simple but powerful question: how do we build a future together? Through painting, sculpture, storytelling, reflective discussions and collaborative making, children will discover that dreaming is not only something that happens while asleep, but also an active skill that can shape how we live, relate and imagine change.
“In a world that often asks us to compete, Dreaming Together invites children to imagine, create and grow side by side. Art helps children see differently, care deeply and build a world big enough for everyone,” said Sharada Kerkar, co-founder of the Children’s Art Studio at the Pilerne-based museum.
Participants will work with a wide range of materials and ideas through activities designed to inspire both play and reflection. These include shared garden puzzles exploring cooperation, paper-mâché vessels centred on trust and care, symbolic chairs about making space for different voices, dreaming pillows inspired by waking imagination and collaborative colour-making that turns individual expression into a collective artwork.

Structured to balance reflection with fun, the camp gives children the freedom to get messy, ask questions and experiment in a supportive studio environment. They will leave not only with artworks, but also with fresh ideas about friendship, fairness and belonging.
The fee for the programme is Rs 6,000, with an early bird fee of Rs 5,500 for registrations completed before May 10. Limited slots are available.
