Combine Harvesting Machine Introduced to Support Farmers in Saligao Constituency

Nerul, 18th October 2024 – In a significant move towards promoting modern agricultural practices and supporting local farmers, combine harvesting has officially commenced in the Saligao constituency. The initiative, launched in Nerul in presence of
Smt. Vinny Fernandes (Dy. Sarpanch), Panch members Shri. Shivanand Govenkar, Shri. Sudesh Govenkar ,Smt. Pieade Almeida , Smt. Pournima Benaulikar , Shri. Johny Mendes , residents and farmers of Nerul.

This advanced combine harvesting machine has been provided for the benefit of farmers across key villages in the constituency including Saligao, Sangolda, Guirim and Nerul. The machine will play a crucial role in easing the harvest process, reducing labor-intensive efforts, and improving efficiency, leading to better crop yields.

Speaking at the launch, Shri. Kedar Naik, MLA of Saligao Constituency, emphasized the importance of empowering the agricultural sector through modern solutions:
