Congress Party Mourns the Loss of Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh

The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh, one of India’s most esteemed and visionary leaders. Dr. Singh’s demise marks the end of an era in Indian politics, leaving behind a legacy of economic reforms, inclusive governance, and unwavering commitment to the nation’s progress.

Dr. Manmohan Singh, a distinguished economist and statesman, served as the 13th Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014. His tenure will be remembered for landmark achievements, including historic economic liberalization, social welfare schemes like MGNREGA, and the Indo-US nuclear deal, which placed India on the global map as a rising power.

His humility, integrity, and dedication to public service earned him the respect and admiration of millions, both in India and abroad. He was a guiding light for the Congress Party and a source of inspiration for all those who believed in the values of democracy, secularism, and equality.

On behalf of the Goa Congress family, I extend heartfelt condolences to Dr. Singh’s family and loved ones. His contributions to our nation will forever remain etched in the annals of history.

As we mourn this irreparable loss, let us honor his memory by continuing to work for the ideals he championed and the India he envisioned—one that is inclusive, progressive, and just.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
