India’s Solar Revolution is here – and Goa is marching ahead !
Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant attended and addressed the ‘Accelerating Solarization in Goa’ workshop organized under Swaniti Initiative, aimed at playing a decisive role in securing Goa’s and India’s Energy future in the presence of Union Minister of State for Power Shri Shripad Naik, Rajya Sabha, MP Shir Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Cabinet Colleagues, MLAs & other esteemed dignitaries.
HCM extended his gratitude to the visionary leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi ji, India has surpassed 107 GW of solar power, moving steadfastly toward the 2030 goal of 500 GW non-fossil energy. He said that the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana & Mukhyamantri Mofat Vij Yevjan is lighting up homes with up to 100% subsidy for rooftop solar installations!
HCM stated that in Goa, bold action is underway:
➡ Targeting 50% rooftop solar in households
➡ 63 Model Solar Villages launched
➡ Free solar pumps for farmers under PM-KUSUM
