Pankaj Prabhu Narvekar, an engineer employed by the public works department (PWD) and residing in Porvorim, has made history by becoming the first person from Goa to successfully summit Mount Everest. This remarkable achievement took place on May 21st at 5:30 am.

In addition, Pankaj Prabhu Narvekar’s daughter Gunjan, a teenage mountaineer, has also made significant accomplishments in the field of mountaineering.
