Bla Bla Bla Entertainment Wins IFP BTS Challenge in the Amateur Category

Bla Bla Bla Entertainment has brought pride to Goa by winning the Amateur Category of the Behind-the-Scenes (BTS) Challenge at the IFP 50-Hour Filmmaking Challenge. Organised by IFP in collaboration with Canon, the BTS Challenge aimed to promote the India in Motion anthem by showcasing the creative journeys behind filmmaking.

Team Bla Bla Bla Entertainment’s BTS entry captured the effort, teamwork, and creative process behind the making of its 50-hour filmmaking challenge film, Namak: The Last Grain.

The film features Mosaic ‘Moz’ Johnson as the Father and Akshaj Bandodkar as the Son. Gayatri Nidasosi portrays the Salt Dealer, while Tincy Thomas appears as one of the wealthy customers.

Based on a story by Moz, who also produced the film under the banner of Bla Bla Bla Entertainment, Namak: The Last Grain was directed by Vidhatri, who also penned the screenplay.

Daniel Philips served as the assistant director and designed the film’s poster. Atharv Joshi took charge of cinematography, editing, digital intermediate (DI), and special effects (SFX).

Tincy Thomas and Cheryl Rodrigues coordinated production, while Dyna Fernandes and Surbhi Khandeparkar handled costumes and makeup. Surbhi Khandeparkar also contributed to documenting the film’s behind-the-scenes journey.

Namak: The Last Grain explores a world transformed by the absence of something seemingly ordinary yet essential. In a desperate bid to obtain a single sachet of salt for his young son, a father risks everything. As he prepares a simple meal, memories of happier times resurface, revealing the quiet love and sacrifices that bind them together. However, as the evening unfolds, this seemingly simple act of care takes an unexpected turn, delving into themes of love, loss, and the things we often take for granted.

Established in Goa, Bla Bla Bla Entertainment is a premier creative house specializing in immersive live events, festival IPs, comedy specials, and brand experiences.

The IFP BTS Challenge focused on documenting the story behind making a film within 50 hours – the hustle, chaos, collaboration, and magic that bring a cinematic vision to life. This year’s challenge encouraged filmmakers to capture their unfiltered filmmaking journey, from the initial brainstorming sessions to the final wrap, while exploring the theme India in Motion through the people, culture, places, and moments that make each filmmaking journey uniquely Indian.

By capturing the dedication and collaborative spirit behind Namak: The Last Grain, Bla Bla Bla Entertainment’s winning BTS entry celebrated not just the making of a film, but also the passion and perseverance that drive independent filmmaking in Goa.
