The two projects aim to address important local requirements, ranging from water conservation to improved facilities for religious and cultural activities.

Construction of Open-Type Bandhara at Mhalsekharwada

The coconut-breaking ceremony was held for the construction of an open-type Bandhara across the nallas at Mhalsekharwada, Parye Panchayat, with a tendered cost of ₹21 lakh.

The project aims to support local water conservation efforts by facilitating water retention and improving the availability of water in the surrounding area. The Bandhara is expected to contribute towards groundwater recharge and help support agricultural activities, while strengthening the area’s water resources.

The initiative highlights the importance of developing local water infrastructure to address seasonal water requirements and promote the sustainable management of natural resources. Such interventions can play a valuable role in supporting rural communities and improving water security, subject to local hydrological conditions and the effective implementation of the work.

Improvement of Ganesh Visarjan Platform and Protection Wall at Ranewada

The coconut-breaking ceremony was also held for the improvement of the Ganesh Visarjan Platform at Ranewada, Parye Panchayat, along with the construction of a protection wall along the Valiant River.

The proposed work aims to improve the existing visarjan platform and provide better facilities for devotees participating in Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. The construction of the protection wall is intended to strengthen the riverbank along the designated stretch and help address concerns relating to the protection of the surrounding area.

The improvement will contribute towards providing a more organised and convenient space for religious activities, while supporting the preservation of local traditions and cultural practices. The project also highlights the importance of maintaining public infrastructure used by the community during festivals and other occasions.

Both development works reflect the importance of addressing grassroots requirements through infrastructure improvements that serve the practical needs of residents while supporting the community’s cultural and environmental priorities.

The initiatives form part of the continued focus on improving local amenities, strengthening water-related infrastructure and preserving the cultural traditions that remain central to community life in Parye.

These projects aim to combine sustainable development with community welfare, ensuring that local infrastructure continues to serve the needs of present and future generations.
