Foundation Stone Laid for ₹7.49 Lakh Paver Work Near Bhumika School Under Zilla Panchayat Funds
Poriem, Goa: The foundation stone for the work of providing and laying pavers on the right side of Bhumika School was laid as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen local infrastructure and improve public convenience. The project has been allocated ₹7.49 lakh under Zilla Panchayat (ZP) funds in the presence of Panchayat members and officials of PWD.
The proposed work aims to improve the approach and surrounding area near the school, making it more accessible and convenient for students, parents, staff and local residents. The laying of pavers will help create a more even and organised surface, improve movement in the area and reduce the inconvenience caused by uneven ground, particularly during the monsoon.
The initiative reflects the importance of addressing local infrastructure requirements through targeted development works and the effective utilisation of Zilla Panchayat funds. Such projects, though modest in scale, can make a meaningful difference to everyday life by improving basic amenities and public spaces.
