54th International Film Festival of India e online ticket sale will start from 19th November 2023,  08:00 a.m onwards.

Welcome to the 54th International Film Festival of India, Goa.

We are pleased to inform you that the online ticket sale for 54th IFFI will start from 19th November 2023,  08:00 a.m onwards. However,  early bird online ticket bookings for some Masterclasses/Panel sessions at IFFI Goa 2023 are opening on 18th November 2023 at 8:00 a.m. for the accreditated delegates. The details of these Sessions for which early bookings are being opened , have been given below:

 

1. Tuesday, 21st November, 2.30 PM @Kala Academy, Panaji

In-Conversation: The Archies – Made in India       
To celebrate and chat about the moment of pride it is for India to be adapting a global IP into an Indian film. The discussion will delve into how the film honours family, and friendship, celebrates youth, focuses on the 1960s as a period, and why it was important for India to create the first-ever Archie Comic feature film.

Speakers:
Jon Goldwater is the CEO and Publisher of Archie Comics. Under his leadership, Archie has not only thrived in traditional comics but also in TV series and Netflix films, engaging both old and new fans.
Zoya Akhtar with 4 films, 3 short stories, 1 web series, 6 Filmfare awards, an Emmy nomination, a NETPAC Award for Best Asian Film, a world premiere at Cannes and Berlin, and India’s official entry to the Oscars outlines this Writer, Director, Producer has the unique ability to tell stories that break the conventions make and creating waves globally. Her 5th film, The Archies, is set to release on Netflix on December 7th, 2023
Reema Kagti is considered one of the most dynamic screenwriters and filmmakers in Indian cinema. Honeymoon Travels Private Limited, Talaash, and the historic sports drama Gold were acclaimed by audiences and critics alike.
Sharad Devarajan, Founder & CEO of Graphic India and Liquid Comics, is a dynamic entrepreneur and professor.

Masterclass on Film Direction

Speaker:

Brillante Mendoza, a celebrated Philippine director and producer, stands as a cinematic icon. He made history by winning the Best Director award at Cannes for Kinatay in 2009, the first Filipino to do so. Mendoza also received France’s prestigious “Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres” in 2014. His journey began with Masahista” in 2005, which won Locarno’s Golden Leopard. His recent works, including Amo on Netflix and Gensan Punch on HBO GO, have maintained his international acclaim, and Resbak is currently available on Amazon Prime. Mendoza’s influence extends far beyond Philippine borders.

Madhur Bhandarkar In-conversation with Taran Adarsh

Speaker:

Maverick Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar who is known for his realistic, critically acclaimed and commercially successful Films like Chandni Bar, Page 3, Corporate, Traffic Signal, Fashion, Heroine and Indu Sarkar & his latest OTT hits Babli Bouncer and India Lockdown. His films have made a deep impact on the society as well as film admirers across India and abroad. Madhur Bhandarkar is the Winner of 5 National Film Awards and is also a Padma Shri Awardee.

Speaker:

Taran Adarsh, age 58, is a well-known and popular Indian film critic and film business analyst.  He started his career with Trade Guide, a film business magazine founded by his father, then switched over to television and Internet, writing reviews for Bollywood Hungama, the hugely popular entertainment website owned by Hungama Group. Taran enjoys the largest following on social media. Taran has hosted shows on television and has been an integral part of film festivals in India and abroad, holding master classes and conducting interviews with notable film personalities.

Bringing Stories Rooted in Reality to Screen
The panel will focus on authentic portrayals of characters and cultural settings, highlighting their significance in resonating with audiences on an emotional level. In a world saturated with fiction, this panel celebrates the power of reality-driven storytelling in creating meaningful and relatable cinematic experiences.

Speakers:
Kay Kay Menon, a versatile actor, is known for his stellar roles in Sarkar, Honeymoon Travels, Life in a… Metro, Gulaal, Special Ops, as well as his acclaimed work in Telugu, Tamil, and Gujarati cinema.
Babil Khan is a filmmaker and actor by profession. He made his cinematic debut with Anvita Dutt’s highly acclaimed psychological drama, Qala last year. He also played a lead role in Netflix’s Friday Night Plan.
Divyenndu Sharma is an actor best known for playing lead roles in films such as Pyar Ka Punchnama, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, and Kanpuriye as well as the OTT series Mirzapur. Sharma has won many accolades for his acting skills.
Tanya Bami oversees the development of original scripted series, reality series, comedy specials, and documentaries at Netflix. She has led some of Netflix’s most loved series including Kaala Paani, Guns & Gulaabs, Kota Factory (season 2), and The Hunt for Veerappan among others.
Shiv Rawail makes his directorial debut with YRF Entertainment and Netflix’s 4-episode thrilling drama The Railway Men, which celebrates the unsung heroes – the railway employees of India – who went beyond their call of duty trying to save the lives of thousands of innocent citizens trapped in a helpless city on the fateful night of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy.
Aayush Gupta has directed and co-produced a non-fiction series for India’s public broadcaster, Prasar Bharati, as well as documentaries for NCERT, Gandhi Smriti & Darshan Samiti. He is the writer of YRF Entertainment and Netflix’s The Railway Men.

 

Requesting all the delegates to adhere to the Festival Policy as detailed below:

  • Delegates can book their tickets ONLY through online mode by logging into their profiles at iffigoa.org(Film Guide) or IFFIGoa mobile app. 
  • No physical/paper ticket will be issued during the 54th IFFI, however, an e-ticket will be sent on the delegate’s registered email ID along with an SMS confirming the booking (E-ticket is mandatory to gain entry into the theatre).
  • Delegates can also view their tickets by logging into my.iffigoa.org or IFFIGoa mobile app.
  • In case a delegate does not receive an SMS or email, there is no need to panic and shall approach the nearest ticketing help desk.
  • Interestingly, the same ticket would also reflect on the delegate’s QR-Coded accreditation card which they would need to produce for scanning when entering a theatre to view their movie of choice.
  • E-tickets will be issued/ sent only to valid accreditation. Every e-ticket will be visible at iffigoa.org and IFFIGoa mobile app. 
  • Sharing accreditation cards is strictly prohibited. All delegates should adhere to the rules. In case of misuse of accreditation card, the accreditation card shall be blocked / terminated.
  • Every card holder is entitled for a certain quota of tickets per day depending on the card type such as:

Delegate Professional: 5 tickets per day

Cine Enthusiast and Student Delegate: 4 tickets per day

Media Camera Person: 4 tickets per day

Media Correspondent: 5 tickets per day

  • Tickets can be booked only two days prior to the screening. For example, online sale will start at 08.00 hours of 19th November 2023 for the movie to be screened on 21st November 2023 and so on.
  • All Accreditation cards are QR coded and will be scanned at the auditorium entrance. It is in the delegate’s interest to scan the accreditation card or else the e-ticket will be considered as un-used and thereby liable for cancellation against the delegate’s daily ticket quota.
  • Delegates should cancel tickets for shows that they have booked but would not be able to attend, atleast 30 minutes prior to the show start time. Failure to do so will result in reduction of the delegate’s daily ticket quota, if the ticket is un-used.
  • Delegates will be able to book ticketstill the movie start time.
  • If a ticketed delegate makes a “no show”, their ticket stands cancelled and will result in reduction of the delegate’s daily ticket quota.
  • Three “No-Show” may lead to deactivation of Delegate’s Accreditation card and will not be allowed to book tickets for further screenings. 
  • Certain ‘reserved seats’ may be released for ticketing, only one hour prior to the show start time and the same will be available for ticketing online.
  • Delegates are not allowed to book tickets for screenings in the same time slot (i.e. booking for parallel screenings not allowed)
  • Delegates will be allowed to book tickets for screenings only at a gap of at least 1 hour between the end time of last show to start time of the next show at different venues i.e. Porvorim to Panjim or vice-versa.
  • Each E-ticket is valid for a single screening only.
  • Only delegates with a valid e-ticket will have access to the theatre.
  • Delegates are requested to enter the Auditorium 20 minutes before scheduled screenings. Entries would be closed 10 minutes before the start of the show.

Theatre Policy & Admittance

  • Persons with disabilities can contact the help desk at the venues for assistance.
  • Sitting on the aisle/ non-designated seating area inside the theatre is strictly prohibited and anyone found doing so will be barred from further screenings of the 54th IFFI.

Help Desk Assistance:

  • Help Desks are located at INOX – Panjim and INOX – Porvorim to assist delegates with information on Festival events & films, Ticket Booking/ Cancellation process, etc.
  • Delegates can gain access to the IFFI Newsletter – Peacock in a digital format by logging into their profiles at iffigoa.org or IFFIGoa mobile app. 

NOTE: The Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any ticketed delegate into the Theatre, and has the right to terminate the registration for any reason whatsoever (including misconduct, complaints by other delegates, sexual harassment, hygiene disease, etc) and not limited to breach of the Festival Rules, as specified from time to time. On the termination of a registration, the Accreditation card of the Delegate shall be deactivated and the Delegate shall not be entitled to any refund of the registration fee
