Goa govt partners NSDC International to create jobs abroad for youth
The Goa government has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NSDC International to establish a skill center in the state, as per an official announcement.
Under this collaboration, a minimum of 5,000 young individuals from Goa will be provided with annual training programs aimed at enhancing their skills for international job opportunities.
NSDC International, a subsidiary of the National Skill Development Corporation operating under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, will oversee the establishment of the skill center in Goa.
The MoU signing ceremony took place in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in Porvorim on Tuesday, marking a significant step towards providing skill development opportunities to the youth in Goa.
The Chief Minister announced that the state-of-the-art facility will develop a high-quality skill development environment and provide the youths of Goa with essential skills and competencies, including foreign languages and specialized domain skills, to succeed on a global scale.
Furthermore, Sawant mentioned that the center will create opportunities for international jobs in various sectors such as hospitality, healthcare, beautywellness, IT, construction, etc.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that this state-of-the-art Skill Centre will equip the youth of Goa with the necessary resources to excel globally and secure promising job prospects.
