Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar assured that even if the Tamnar project does not proceed as planned, alternative arrangements will be made to ensure electricity supply from the western grid. He made this statement during a press conference in Panaji on monsoon preparedness, where he was joined by Chief Electrical Engineer Steven Fernandes and other officials.

According to Dhavalikar, infrastructure work is currently underway to bring 1200 Mega Watts of electricity to the region. When questioned about allegations that he does not answer his phone, Dhavalikar explained that he often does not receive a signal at his home. He encouraged individuals to send text messages if they are unable to reach him via phone call.
